Overview

Amanda is a seasoned litigator with extensive experience handling complex federal enforcement actions involving consumer protection, deceptive practices, and regulatory compliance. She has led high-stakes litigation in federal courts across the country and has a strong record of success in matters involving fraud, advertising substantiation, and compliance with court orders. 

Amanda has led numerous large-scale investigations and enforcement actions, serving as lead counsel on behalf of the Federal Trade Commission. Her work has involved extensive discovery, motions practice, and first-chair trial experience—including examining expert and fact witnesses, arguing dispositive motions, and managing settlement negotiations. She is particularly skilled in navigating cases involving complex damages, technical subject matter, and parallel regulatory concerns. 

Before her public service, Amanda practiced at national law firms where she handled commercial litigation, antitrust, and toxic tort matters on behalf of corporate clients. She is known for her thorough case preparation, deep understanding of federal consumer protection laws, and ability to manage multi-disciplinary legal teams in litigation and settlement negotiations. 

She earned her J.D. with honors from the University of Chicago Law School, where she was a member of the University of Chicago Law Review and elected to the Order of the Coif. She holds an A.B., magna cum laude, in Chemistry and Moral Philosophy & Legal Theory from Lafayette College.
