Courtney Mayo Named to 2023 Top Women of Law List by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly

Hassett | Donnelly is pleased to announce that Partner, Courtney Mayo, has been named to the 2023 Top Women of Law list by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly.

Courtney served as the President of the Worcester County Bar Association (2022).  During her time as president, Courtney received the WCBA’s President’s Award for her dedication and service to the Bar Association. She is the creator and Chair of the Association’s Committee for Anti-Racism and Equality.  She volunteers as a mentor, coach and judge for the Worcester Public School’s Discovering Justice Programs, is a volunteer Lawyer of the Day in the Worcester District Court and she serves as Pro Bono Counsel for the Board of Bar Overseers.  In her legal practice, Courtney defends municipal entities in a variety of litigation including civil rights actions, use of force, employment disputes and torts.  She is often asked to provide training to businesses and public employers on best practices to prevent employment disputes.  She represents large and small businesses in employment actions involving wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination and Wage and Labor Law violations.  Courtney has a tireless dedication to her clients and a remarkable track record of success handling cases in federal and state courts, as well as MCAD and EEOC.
