John’s practice focuses on general liability matters including construction, products liability, catastrophic loss, transportation, and business and commercial matters.
Before joining Hassett | Donnelly, John worked as an associate at an established Boston litigation firm handling complex wrongful death and negligence medical malpractice cases. He served as the lead defense attorney in over ninety medical malpractice cases representing skilled nursing facilities, assisted-living facilities, independent senior living facilities, and individual medical providers including nurse practitioners and nurses. John managed all stages of his cases from inception of the case through trial or resolution. John is well-experienced at working with medical experts including physicians and nurses. John has secured several summary judgments for his clients.
Prior to working in litigation, John served as a Judicial intern with the United States Appeals Court for the First Circuit and as a Summer Associate at an established Boston business law firm. Prior to law school, John worked as a CPA in public accounting at Deloitte providing external audit services to clients in the financial services, health care, technology, manufacturing and pharmaceutical industries, and worked as a CPA in private accounting at technology and health care companies.
John earned his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School, graduating cum laude in 2020. John received the Best Brief and Best Oral Advocate Awards at Suffolk. John was a published member of the Suffolk Law Review. He received his B.A. in Economics and Accounting with a Minor in Philosophy from the College of the Holy Cross, graduating cum laude in 2011.
